THE GATELESS GATE near north

Near North cover

If there’s an opposite to dark ambient, this is close. Tracks are so different its hard to name some genres, beautiful orchestral/close-to-earth/world fusion/new age/post rock/drone/experimental/field recordings. All in all music full of hope.

another herbal release, ambientexperimental with hint of krautrock influences, tracks getting better and better while album evolves, ending to my favorite 5th track. nice variation in tracks, instrumentals/ambient/drones.

nice cover art and great drone/experimental/guitar, maybe its just me, but i have heard many similar type of releases, sometimes drone just starts sounding the same and you have to get your shot of motorhead.

ps. if  im any better, heres 2012 re-makes of some old tracks and one previously unreleased track  http://archive.org/details/EgbCoyotes2012

a split cd with tokyo’s breakfast of champions (progressive grunge rock) and ontario’s quiet lakes (drone doom). two very different bands, both great, personally i prefer quiet lakes’ side.
