TANKARD – chemical invasion

Posted in 80s, germany, LP collection, speed metal, thrash metal, Uncategorized on April 10, 2020 by vesalahde

one of the rarities still left of my original speed/thrash collection, more actual than ever in the era of labrats, labviruses, chemtrails, chemclouds… this wasnt for serious thrashers but beer-drinking fun-loving metalheads.

DESTRUCTOR – maximum destruction

Posted in 80s, cleveland, heavy metal, speed metal, thrash metal, Uncategorized on April 3, 2020 by vesalahde

friday nostalgia, lesser-known speed/thrash that was in heavy rotation in the 80s.

ZOETROPE – amnesty

Posted in 80s, chicago, LPs i used to have, speed metal, street metal, thrash metal, Uncategorized on March 22, 2020 by vesalahde

bit confused with some new releases so tripping back to the 80s, this was underrated, no one else liked it but i was spinning it like a madman, still sounds unique.

VOIVOD – killing technology

Posted in canada, LPs i used to have, progressive metal, thrash metal, Uncategorized on December 11, 2019 by vesalahde

voivod was (probably still is) something else, unique progethrash, the album title more actual than ever

SLAYER – live undead

Posted in LPs i used to have, thrash metal, Uncategorized, usa on October 4, 2019 by vesalahde

as much as im full of the internet nerds sending me their 666:s, slayer still kicks some serious ass, had Show no mercy, Haunting the chapel and this picture disc as a vinyl record clock on my wall.

DEATHROW – raging steel

Posted in germany, LPs i used to have, speed metal, thrash metal, Uncategorized on September 26, 2019 by vesalahde

Posted in crossover, hardcore, LPs i used to have, thrash metal, Uncategorized on August 24, 2019 by vesalahde

still a pleasure to listen this energy burst, no fillers..

..and cryptic slaughter is going on now, all that remote torture out there..

SACRED REICH – surf nicaragua

Posted in LPs i used to have, thrash metal, Uncategorized on August 23, 2019 by vesalahde

refreshing nostalgic classic in the middle of all progressivestonerpsychedelic.

METALLICA – live in helsinki 1988

Posted in los angeles, thrash metal, Uncategorized on April 11, 2019 by vesalahde

Unbelievable to find some gigs i saw in the 80s from youtube, despite of the enormous hangover this gig was awesome. Needless to say Kill em all was THE ALBUM that turned my musical world upside down, there was no return to slower heavy rocks/metals, all that older stuff sounded lame.

EXODUS – bonded by blood

Posted in LPs i used to have, san francisco, thrash metal, Uncategorized on April 11, 2019 by vesalahde

listened some of these childhood soundtracks from youtube just to find out you have to see ads between tracks? appreciate free music (at least i bought this in the 80s) but whats the difference between youtube and megaupload? megaupload dude was chased more than child rapists and terrorists, wheres Lars and the court case, metallica albums there as well.

NUCLEAR ASSAULT – game over

Posted in LPs i used to have, new york, thrash metal, Uncategorized on April 4, 2019 by vesalahde

another classic, climate change wasnt an issue among youth in the 80s, it was the political climate, which one of the rednecks presses the button 1st, when the next chernobyl explodes..

WAR (exploited cover) X2

Posted in punk rock, thrash metal, Uncategorized, video on March 27, 2019 by vesalahde

as you know i dont need your FUCKING WAR either, just multi-billion business and peace time war criminals on the loose, they can murder me and probably murdered my dad too, so FUCK YOU MILITARY SCUM fucking cowards!!!!!…this reminds me of an introduction i did in school about slayer in the end of 80s, showed some live video from vhs tape too and someone pulled the plug from the wall

KREATOR

Posted in germany, thrash metal, Uncategorized on March 24, 2019 by vesalahde

Band from the teenage years, great to see they are still going on strong and have a message, totalitarian terror on the rise in Finland too.

and this is how i remember them, from the lousy vhs tape i still have somewhere, when post-office was our internet.

OVERKILL – taking over

Posted in LPs i used to have, new jersey, thrash metal, Uncategorized on March 11, 2019 by vesalahde

overkill was always bit underrated but i liked them, nostalgic trip to the 80s when hair was long and thrash was something rebellious and revolutionary, still sounds better and fresher than similar new bands.

WHIPLASH – insult to injury

Posted in LPs i used to have, new jersey, thrash metal, Uncategorized on January 23, 2019 by vesalahde

not as good as their debut but was in heavy rotation in teenage times, why old thrash is still better than any new copycat bands?

CELTIC FROST – morbid tales

Posted in LP collection, speed metal, switzerland, thrash metal on December 26, 2016 by vesalahde

nice album for boxing day fun times, the last remaining LP of my speed/thrash/black metal collection, once sold them all during one night beer drinking session.
