Posted in grindcore, hardcore, LPs i used to have, thrash metal, uk, Uncategorized on April 20, 2020 by vesalahde

promo albums waiting in line and im listening golden classics, this got also some serious spinning in the 80s

ZOETROPE – amnesty

Posted in 80s, chicago, LPs i used to have, speed metal, street metal, thrash metal, Uncategorized on March 22, 2020 by vesalahde

bit confused with some new releases so tripping back to the 80s, this was underrated, no one else liked it but i was spinning it like a madman, still sounds unique.

VOIVOD – killing technology

Posted in canada, LPs i used to have, progressive metal, thrash metal, Uncategorized on December 11, 2019 by vesalahde

voivod was (probably still is) something else, unique progethrash, the album title more actual than ever

friday evening nostalgia, amazing LP only released in Finland

SLAYER – live undead

Posted in LPs i used to have, thrash metal, Uncategorized, usa on October 4, 2019 by vesalahde

as much as im full of the internet nerds sending me their 666:s, slayer still kicks some serious ass, had Show no mercy, Haunting the chapel and this picture disc as a vinyl record clock on my wall.

DEATHROW – raging steel

Posted in germany, LPs i used to have, speed metal, thrash metal, Uncategorized on September 26, 2019 by vesalahde

still inspiring..

MISFITS – walk among us

Posted in horror, LPs i used to have, punk rock, Uncategorized on August 31, 2019 by vesalahde

soundcloud horror punks reminded me of the brilliant LP, and how actual this track is now, hatebreeders fucking with our minds.

PEER GÜNT – backseat

Posted in finland, hard rock, LPs i used to have, rock, rocknroll, Uncategorized on August 28, 2019 by vesalahde

Heres a good example of real rocknroll for the new so called rock bands who are just making lyrics and coverart for trolls and spammers, the closest thing to motörhead finland has to offer.

CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER – convicted

Posted in crossover, hardcore, LPs i used to have, thrash metal, Uncategorized on August 24, 2019 by vesalahde

still a pleasure to listen this energy burst, no fillers..

..and cryptic slaughter is going on now, all that remote torture out there..

GANG GREEN – you got it

Posted in boston, hardcore, LPs i used to have, punk rock, skate punk, Uncategorized on August 24, 2019 by vesalahde

music was just better in the 80s, 70s, 60s, another classic that was on heavy rotation.

SACRED REICH – surf nicaragua

Posted in LPs i used to have, thrash metal, Uncategorized on August 23, 2019 by vesalahde

refreshing nostalgic classic in the middle of all progressivestonerpsychedelic.

SUICIDAL TENDENCIES – how will i laugh tomorrow when i cant even smile today

Posted in california, crossover, hardcore, LPs i used to have, skate punk, thrash, Uncategorized on May 25, 2019 by vesalahde

im brainwashed by my own writings, remembered this magnificent album while writing my other blog, the LP you never got tired of, isnt it bit strange that band named suicidal tendencies brings you the best childhood memories.

ps. was curious to see if theyre still doing music and gotta say this is no “how will i laugh” but better than the most of the new bands that never invent anything new. WHOLE WORLD GONE INSANE, agree with that.

JELLO BIAFRA & D.O.A. – last scream of the missing neighbors

Posted in LPs i used to have, punk rock, Uncategorized on April 26, 2019 by vesalahde

Even Jello Biafra exploited by advertisers, whos getting all this money? Let me guess, not artists 🙂

EXODUS – bonded by blood

Posted in LPs i used to have, san francisco, thrash metal, Uncategorized on April 11, 2019 by vesalahde

listened some of these childhood soundtracks from youtube just to find out you have to see ads between tracks? appreciate free music (at least i bought this in the 80s) but whats the difference between youtube and megaupload? megaupload dude was chased more than child rapists and terrorists, wheres Lars and the court case, metallica albums there as well.

NUCLEAR ASSAULT – game over

Posted in LPs i used to have, new york, thrash metal, Uncategorized on April 4, 2019 by vesalahde

another classic, climate change wasnt an issue among youth in the 80s, it was the political climate, which one of the rednecks presses the button 1st, when the next chernobyl explodes..

OVERKILL – taking over

Posted in LPs i used to have, new jersey, thrash metal, Uncategorized on March 11, 2019 by vesalahde

overkill was always bit underrated but i liked them, nostalgic trip to the 80s when hair was long and thrash was something rebellious and revolutionary, still sounds better and fresher than similar new bands.

WHIPLASH – insult to injury

Posted in LPs i used to have, new jersey, thrash metal, Uncategorized on January 23, 2019 by vesalahde

not as good as their debut but was in heavy rotation in teenage times, why old thrash is still better than any new copycat bands?

CRUMBSUCKERS – life of dreams

Posted in hardcore, LPs i used to have, new york, Uncategorized on December 20, 2018 by vesalahde

found the “bullshit society” logo from my 9th grade school book while cleaning the closet, was pretty sure its a track title of some band, this was one of the best hardcore albums of those times, no fillers… and the world hasnt changed since then.

ps. actually the world has changed to worse, military hunting people, police radiating people, etc…people are assaulted at their home with  military RF/sonic weapons..

D.R.I. – dirty rotten LP/violent pacification

Posted in hardcore, LPs i used to have, Uncategorized on October 16, 2018 by vesalahde

another childhood soundtrack, in the 80s there was in-your-face lyrics, nowadays just boring mumbo jumbo like all musicians are scared of something, writing cryptographic bullshit they dont even understand themselves.

S.O.D. – speak english or die

Posted in hardcore, LPs i used to have, thrash, Uncategorized on October 16, 2018 by vesalahde

soundtrack of my teenage years, considered as a classic nowadays.

“It doesn’t matter how you wear your hair
It’s what inside your head
United Forces stand for all good and fair
Black, white and yellow and red

UNITED *(forces)* UNITED *(forces)* UNITED,
UNITED *(forces)* UNITED *(forces)* UNITED!!!!

Skinheads and bangers and punks stand as one
Crossover to a final scene
United forces and their job won´t be done
Until the world can see

No rednecks, no jocks, no macho bullshit attitudes
United forces can´t be stopped!!!”

D.R.I. – 4 of a kind

Posted in hardcore, LPs i used to have, Uncategorized on October 12, 2018 by vesalahde

…and 3, maybe even more, jokers in finnish govt, an LP from my childhood, still sounds fresh and kicking your lame butt.

NAPALM DEATH – scum

Posted in grindcore, hardcore, LPs i used to have, Uncategorized on January 23, 2018 by vesalahde

a new category “LPs i used to have”, this was something innovative and groundbreaking 1987, now considered as a classic, grindcore before grindcore.
