DEMONAUTA-Tierra-Del-Fuego-black-LP-PREORDER (1).jpg

surprisingly melodic yet crushing stoner rock showing that the genre can still evolve and sound interesting and fresh, couple of tracks almost radio-friendly blockbusters (3rd & 4th) reminding a bit of foo fighters or so… catchy hooks and grooves through-out the album not forgetting some chilean psicodelia.

hombre

sometimes it feels these latin-american stoner/psychedelic bands are more stoner/psychedelic than anything else, fantastic mix of stoner/grunge/psychedelic rock, something reminds of los natas.. so no x-wing needed to manoeuvre among the stars and planets, amazing flight from start to finish.

not my cup o coffee, some kinda free jazz improvisation with double bass and electric guitar, anyways its free download from pan y rosas discos

“based in chile, the cátodo dúo consists of amanda irarrázabal on double bass and ramiro molina on electric guitar. they began playing together in 2012 as a way of sharing their experiences in the field of improvised music. built around a string concept, the duo easily moves from intense rhythmic situations to dense layers of noise. the music is totally improvised and their sound arises from treating instruments as sources of sound in every sense of the word using prepared instruments and avoiding conventional playing.”
